Major activities

EDAA is the main sponsor of a series of electronic design, design automation and test related conferences in Europe.
EDAA has sponsored:

EDAA has been merged with CAVE in 1997 and the Main Board is looking for young professionals in CAD for VLSI in Europe who are willing to spend some effort in defining a continuation of the series of successful CAVE Workshops which were run from 1983 until 1996. It is time not only to chamge the formula, but also the people that are involved. EDAA has some seed money available to give serious proposals a good chance for success. E-Mail to the Secretary if you are interested to be involved!
- The first Workshop with in-co-operation status is SCOPES
- The first Summer School to be co-sponsored with IEEE-CS is the Application-specific Multi-Processor on Chip course which was organised by Ahmed Jerraya in July 2001
EDAA has organised a System Design Technology roadmapping activity which produced early 1998 its now widely cited EDAA System Design Technology Roadmap (424 kB, in .pdf format, requiring Acrobat Reader 3.0) and the accompanying text, glossary and explanation of the roadmapping process (270 kB download).

Election of Members of the Main Board

Each year four Members for the Main Board are (re-)elected by the General Assembly of the EDAA. The next General Assembly will take place in March 2002 the evening before the first day of the Design, Automation and Test in Europe Conference 2002 (DATE ²⁰⁰²) to be held in Paris in the Palais des Congrès from 19.00 - 21.00 hours. Nominations for Board Membership are due in writing at the Secretary's Office 14 days before the date of the General Assembly.
