Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds Concerts 1990 - 1999
"The Good Son" tour, 1st leg - Europe - May/June 1990
Comments: Kid Congo Powers and Roland Wolf have left the band,
which is now formed by Nick Cave, Mick Harvey, Blixa Bargeld,
Thomas Wydler, Martyn P. Casey and Conway Savage.
A brand new setlist. Quite a few songs that were played
regularly in the 80s haven been replaced by new songs.
From the new album: The Hammer Song didn't make it into the setlist.
Sorrow's Child may have been played once. Lucy was played a few times.
"The Carny" was introduced into the set, and "Tupelo" and "The Carnival
Is Over" were back. Some 1990 tapes start with Cocks 'n Asses: this was
played on tape, not live. In June, "Knocking On Joe" was replaced by
"Lament" and the closing song was the traditional "Cindy", a.k.a.
"Sydney", or "I Wish I Were An Apple". On June 1, Kid Congo Powers
plays on Knocking On Joe, Bronwyn Adams plays violin on The Weeping Song.

"Live Seeds" tour - Europe - fall 1993
Comments: The European "Live Seeds" promotion tour. The setlist is
similar to that of 1992, but already contains some Let Love In songs.
"Your Funeral My Trial" was a nice performance of Nick and Mick only.
"Loverman" is slightly different from the later version. Here instead
of the "L is for Love" part we get "Wade In The Water".

"Lollapaloosa" tour - USA - summer 1994
Comments: The USA Lollapaloosa tour. The Bad Seeds were third on the
line-up and their set was limited to 45 minutes. Blixa was replaced
by James Johnston. From Her To Eternity is back. It seems that hardly
any songs from The Good Son were played. Quite a few of the setlists
below are from memory and not backed up by tapes. No guarantees...
On a few Lollapaloosa dates, Nick had joined L7 and vice versa.
On 3/8/94 Providence, L7 played "Andre" at the end of the Bad Seeds' set,
together with them. In Raleigh NC, 10/08/94, Nick arrived late
and L7 joined and during Nick's absense they played Nick The Stripper!

Comments: First live performance of O'Malley's Bar; Wild Roses was
done with Blixa doing the Kylie part. The new song Far From Me has
Nick on piano and Jim on organ. Mercy, not ever played in the 90s
before 1996, remains in the setlist. Some old live favorites are
disappearing: Tupelo, Papa Won't Leave You Henry, and only single
performances of The Ship Song and From Her To Eternity.

"Murder Ballads" tours - Europe & South America - summer & November 1996
Comments: European Festival tour. Warren Ellis on (most of) Mercy,
Willow Garden, Henry Lee, Wild Roses, The Weeping Song, The Mercy Seat,
everywhere (including South-America) except in Koln. PJ Harvey sang on
Henry Lee. Kylie on WTWRG in London, Blixa did her part on other shows.
In Santiago, Red Right Hand was aborted and the set was shortened
due to a hostile audience yelling for the band Cypress Hill. From the Buenos
Aires 21/11 gig, different setlists were reported - I made the best of it.
In Milano 30/6/96, "Jangling Jack" has reportedly been played, and
PJ Harvey was there to join on "Henry Lee".
