Hello, let me introduce myself to you. My name is John and was born on the 4th of august 1967 in a village called Veldhoven. In 2004 I move to a small village between 's Hertogenbosch and Veghel named Heeswijk-dinther This is a small village only 12000 inhabitans. At the age of 6 years I got intrested in Electricity and this lead me to my hobby Electronics and my study. In 1988 I passed my school Examination M.T.S. Electronica (Technical school) At the age of 14 I also got intrested in Radio and played arround with CB-Radio and FM broadcasting...... Several years later (let's say 10 years 1991) I passed for my Examination and got my Callsign PE1OGF (CEPT Class II) which I had till Dec 20 2001. At that day I passed for my CW test and got my new callsign PA5MS. I choose for this callsign as this sounded to me as a easy tro copy and also a nice callsign PA5 Meteor Scatter !! It's a shame actualy I do know CW can transmit up to 125lpm and receive about 80lpm but never brought it to an examination. I could have passed for the test 8 years ago.. hihihihi. At the moment I don't have a high intrest to work on shortwave bands because there is so much to do on VHF and up. My main intrest is the wel known 2m (144MHz) band. I like to make DX contacts using all kind of propagation. I favour Meteor-scatter, Moon-bouncing, Aurora and Sporadic E ofcoarse. I worked 67 diffent countries and 27 US states on 144MHz.
