Cajun Comfort consists of following musicians:
Kees
Diatonic Cajun accordeon ('tit noir), harmony vocals
Kees started to play the Cajun accordeon in the beginning of 1999 with taking lessons from Wim Nagtegaal (Netherlands). He also followed workshops and master classes from the Louisiana Cajun accordeon players Danny Poullard (1999), Marc Savoy (2000, 2002), Cory McCauley (2001), and Paul Daigle (2004).
Christel
Fiddle, harmony vocals
We are very happy with Christel, who joined our band. She was introduced to the Cajun music during a workshop by Bas van der Poll at a "Trek er es uut" weekend.
Emile
Triangle ('tit fer), harmony vocals, harmonica
Emile is a professional photographer, with a special interest in Cajun music and musicians. He has been to Louisiana many times. He plays with Cajun Comfort since May 1st 2005.
Frans
Guitar, vocals
Frans has been playing classical guitar music for several years now. He has extended his guitar playing into fingerstyle and flatpick acoustic guitar. Next to intermediate level classical guitar pieces, his guitar music styles include traditional American folkmusic, ballads, country blues and fiddle tunes as well as original compositions from contemporary composers.
