My name is Theo van Loo. I am 52 years old, I am married and I have three children. I live in the Netherlands in a place called Helmond and I collect minerals.

I am a chemist and I teach chemistry to boys and girls in the age of 15-18.

I have been collecting minerals for 25 years and now I have a collection of more then 1300 different minerals. Many of them I collected myself in Germany (the Eifel-region and the Black Forest), in Switzerland (In the beautiful Binn-valley, where this picture was made) and in Italy (Vesuvius, Pereta and many other places).
