The following KiteFlight demo file allows users to view animations of all
the AKA/STACK/AJSKA compulsory routines as well as to create and view
short routines of their own.
- Note that the user interface of the
retail version
of KiteFlight is much more sophisticated (e.g. mouse support, windows,
pull-down menus, built-in editor) and allows you to create full length
routines of your own.
- You will probably also want to download the library of
compulsory routines.
- Typical download speeds are 100 Kbytes/minute (14.4 kbaud modem) or
200 Kbytes/minute (28.8 kbaud modem).
Heavy network traffic may, however, reduce these rates
by a factor of 2 or more.
- Please check the exact size of any downloaded files against the expected
file size. The test file
100bytes.pat
can be downloaded for test purposes. If it is loaded correctly (as a binary file)
it's size will be exactly 100 bytes. If it is loaded as an ASCII file, it will be
about 114 bytes long instead (due to CR/LF conversion).

Next, you need to expand the compressed file in a suitable (e.g. temporary)
directory using PKZip, WinZip or a similar program. Further installation
instructions are contained in a file named readme_.txt
enclosed in the zip file.
